Liability Waiver

The Things we lend are for Share Bristol members only. Please respect other members by taking good care of what you borrow. If something’s damaged or unsafe, please let us know about any damage as soon as you notice it — don’t wait until you return it. This helps us find a replacement for the next borrower.

If a Thing becomes unsafe or broken, stop using it straight away. Your safety matters most! While you’re responsible for any damage caused, don’t worry, we won’t be angry. If you want to return something in better condition than when you got it, that would be amazing! 

Your responsibilities:

• You confirm that you’re capable and experienced with the Things you borrow, and agree to use them safely and properly. Share Bristol, its partners, Trustees, and volunteers don’t claim expertise or guarantee a Thing’s fitness for any specific use.
• By borrowing, you waive any claims against Share Bristol and its team for injuries you might suffer using the Things, except if caused by a known defect we didn’t tell you about.
• You agree to hold Share Bristol, its Trustees and volunteers harmless from any liability or loss arising from your use or possession of borrowed Things – including injury or property damage to yourself or others. 
• You’ve read, understood, and agree to our Members Agreement fully. Not following the rules could lead to losing your borrowing privileges or legal action. 

In summary, you agree that you are responsible for how you use what you borrow, and won’t blame the Share Bristol team for what you do with the Things!
